Contingency Plan. Bank Loan Denied
Cub Grub is currently looking at getting a $280,000 loan approved through the bank and
the remaining $240,935 from the family and friends of the eight Cub Grub founders. In
the event that the bank does not approve the company with a loan, alternative actions
must take place. First, Cub Grub will reduce expenses in hopes to get a smaller loan
approved. The first years furniture equipment and supplies cost a total of $14,752. An
alternative will be, instead of renting out office spaces and enduring the cost of furniture
and office supplies, the Cub Grub team will start doing business from their own homes
until business starts to increase. Each member is already equipped with a smart phone
and laptop which will reduce expenses immensely.
Website Outage Cub Grub is a company which is ran primarily online through a website. Through
the website customer are able to purchase their orders, edit their account settings, and
reach customer service. The website is a key aspect to Cub Grub’s success. A set back or
major problem that could occur, is having a website outage. If this were to happen
customers would not be able to go onto our website for their many needs. The
contingency plan that Cub Grub would have in place if this problem were to happen
would be, still having the direct line available for customers to call, customer service
responding to emails, and have our technology department working on the problem to get
it resolved as quickly as possible. Having our technology department in house will help
eliminate time that could cause an even longer time gap for the website outage.
Setback # 3 Reduced supplier capacity not being able to accommodate weekly
orders? Cost of gas could go up by 100% thus increasing our delivery costs by a
sizable amount? For example, before Amazon offered free shipping, online shopping
was much less popular because delivery costs were so expensive
