PUN001 Assignment 2: Report on Risk Management
Task
Complete a report of 2500 words which identifies and discusses the management of the key risk
issue of an organisation or part of an organisation with which you are familiar. If you do not have
one of these, you can choose any you like. Be creative. What about your favourite sporting team?
Record label? Television station? Digitally disruptive product? Or the kind of organisation you
would like to work in? When thinking of your scenario, consider the following:
?Find a topic with plenty of examples e.g. maybe there have been a lot of publications about
a particular topic. This will make it a lot easier.
?If you choose a real life organisation, find one where you can also find their objectives. This
will also assist in the risk assessment process as you can link risks to objectives
?Choose an area of interest. You have the scope to pick anything you want, and it will be a
lot easier if you enjoy what you are researching.
To keep the number of issues to a manageable number, you will need to limit the scope by
discussing a maximum of five (5) key (i.e. the five most important) items. You should also limit the
scope by selecting a specific area of organisational risk, for example, OHS risk, environmental risk,
or enterprise risk. Your report could be organised along the lines of the risk management
standard and use the following headings for the discussion of the issues you identify.
?Introduction,
?establishing the context,
?risk assessment,
?risk mitigation options,
?communication and consultation,
?monitoring and review, and
?conclusion

The report should be organised under the headings described above. It should also follow report
