Directions & Business Rules:  The below list of attributes has been provided to you from the Merrimack Valley Happy Dog Owners Group (MVHDOG).  Your assignment is to create an Entity Relationship Diagram (use VISIO, Crow's Foot) of your final normalized tables for presentation to the MVHDOG.  Include Minimum & Maximum Cardinality.  Document any assumptions regarding Minimum/Maximum Cardinality that you make.  Provide examples of ‘tables’ with at least three rows of sample data to improve your presentation.

Some of the group’s rules, but not all of them, are:

If being housed at a kennel, a dog is allowed to be housed only at one kennel during the competition.  There are several approved kennels working with the MVHDOG and each can house 30-50 dogs at any one time.  Additionally in order to be an approved kennel, each kennel will have at least one dog participating in the competition.  In order to judge all dogs fairly, each dog in the competition will be required to perform tricks and some of the tricks will be performed throughout the competition by all the breeds of dogs.

  • DOG NUMER
  • DOG NAME
  • KENNEL CODE
  • KENNEL NAME
  • KENNEL LOCATION
  • TRICK ID (1..N)
  • TRICK NAME (1…N)
  • How well the dog performed the trick during the Competition

(1…N means there can be one to N-number)

ANSWER:    (Insert additional pages, if necessary. Cut & Paste VISIO diagram.)
