As a Nurse Educator, effective leadership and communication are essential to my position; as well as creating a foundation for my students to follow. Establishing interpersonal and intrapersonal relationships with my students is incredibly important as a Nursing Instructor. Nursing Instructors have the ability to establish and maintain a positive relationship with their students. This relationship begins with effective communication as well as effective leadership. A positive relationship is essential to becoming a role model for my students throughout their academic tenure at my institution. Additionally, it is determined that students achieve higher course grades and satisfaction when their instructor demonstrates characteristics they feel are most important to them.
