A steel rod 12.5 mm in diameter and 20 cm long has one end attached to a heat reservoir at 250OC. The bar is initially maintained at this temperature throughout. It is then subjected to an airstream at 30OC such that the convection heat transfer coefficient is 35 W/m2. OC.
