Pedaling produces bending

Pedaling produces bending and twisting of the spindle. Consider only the transverse loading (bending) and ignore the torsion. If the bending stress in the spindle is to remain below 500 MPa, what must be the maximum pedal force? There is no force applied to the other pedal, and the chain tensions act in the same plane as the bearing, so they do not contribute to the bending. The spindle is hollow with an outer diameter of 27 mm and an inner diameter of 21 mm. Take the dimensions to be a = 70 mm
