This paper is more of an essay on the groups.  You can use both peer reviewed journal articles as well as other sources that you may find available.   I gave a number of prompts to use to organize your paper.  Some group may better fit these prompts than others.  For example there are laws to protect some group, but other groups may not be visible enough or treated poorly enough for laws to be established  protecting  them.  Also in terms of their willingness to identify with the group,..... some group have a strong sense of identity and get their esteem from the group.  Other may not want to identify with the group because  it makes them feel bad to be associated with the group.  You may be able to find information on the psychological experience of being part of the stigmatized group if you look at the psychological literature rather than new reports.
Above all make your paper an essay that flows wells.  You can talk about the groups separately  if that makes your paper more readable.  The organization is up to you.Â
