1. Hi fellow classmatesMy name is Lisa and I am from Dalton GA.  I am married with two kids (13 and 9), and we have a dog, 4 cats, 3 hermit crabs and 2 fish.  To say they keep me on my toes is an understatement.  I am currently in my second year here at Ashford and I am majoring in Media and Library Science.  My aspiration is to be a media specialist in either middle or high school.  I have worked in the retail book industry for the last six years and have recently left that field, but while I was there I decided I loved books, and loved teaching about books, so I decided to take my job pro.  I do have some experience with educational technology as I have always assisted my bestfriend in her classes and currently her libraries.  I am excited to build upon the little information that I have.  I love technology so I am very excited about this course.I do have to apologize to everyone in class that my posting was delayed till today. Here in Dalton last night we had sever thunderstorms that caused trees down in the power to go out in most of the area, for most of the night and for a while today.  It has been a weird weather year here in Georgia!

2. My name is Latifa and I am a mother of two and wife of 9 years. I’m attending Ashford for my Bachelors in Educational Studies. I earned my Associate last year in Early Childhood also here at Ashford University.  My goal is to teach elementary third grade students.

My level of educational technology doesn’t go beyond knowing how to work Microsoft or excel on my laptop. I am familiar with android phones, tablets, laptops and game systems.
