Our society makes certain assumptions about sex, gender, and sexual orientation and the links between them.

5 short answer question

Our society makes certain assumptions about sex, gender, and sexual orientation and the links between them. In Middle Sexes, we saw gender non-conforming, trans, and intersex people whose stories reveal and challenge these assumptions. Where did we see evidence of the assumed links in these stories? How do these people’s stories challenge our assumptions? Use examples from THREE of the sections we watched in class to answer these questions.
