Compare an ancient culture discussed in Chapter 3.1 of the Gateways text book to your own, contemporary culture.  Before you begin, think about what makes up a culture (i.e. religion, politics, language, ethnicity, etc.) In your comparison, begin by identifying both your own, contemporary culture and the ancient culture.  Then focus on the similarities between the ancient culture and your own.  Choose one work of art from that culture (from the text book giving us the figure number or from the web giving us a link, so we can view the artwork) that bolsters your discussion.
