Psychology Paper

YOU MUST FOLLOW THE GUIDELINES.

Introduction: Introduce the topic. Briefly define what is meant by innate goodness. Make sure that you have a thesis i.e. most theories with the exception of X support the idea that we are born innately good.

Body: Use section headers for each of the four perspectives. Make sure that for each perspective you take a clear position - yes or no (some may be more or less firmly in one respective camp). Show support through the related theoretical tenets of the perspective – include the concepts of specific theorists as they apply. This is the most theoretically driven paper of the class. Provide research support but keep the description brief – just show how it supports your position. Write at least a paragraph for each perspective. Include a conclusion that recaps each perspective’s position.

• This assignment requires that at least two additional scholarly research sources related to this topic, and at least one in-text citation from each source be included.

Directions:

In a paper of 1,000 – 1,250 words, support or debate the concept of innate good through the following lenses of personality development:

1. Trait theories

2. Biological theories

3. Humanistic theories

4. Behavioral theories
