The boss is interested in reducing turnover at work. Records show that 25% of all new hires quit after 1 year. New training is implemented for a sample of 150 new employees. At the end of one year 29 of these 150 individuals are no longer employed.
Â
At the .01 level of significance, is there evidence that the proportion of employees who have gone through the new training and are no longer employees in less than .25%? If not, does personnel need to review and possibly revise its new training approach? Which major decision making approach applies here and which model is most appropriate for reaching a decision?
