You will watch the movie “A Bridge Too Far,” which is based on a book of the same title written by Cornelius Ryan about a real event in World War II, and will answer in a PPT presentation, the following questions:
1. What is your overall impression of the movie? Your favorite scene?
2-At the end of the movie, the top British officer in command states that two out of three bridges is a good outcome. Do you agree? Why?
3- What was the cause(s) for the outcome in this war event? What decision-making concepts you can identify in action in this event?
4. Provide any comment or caveat related to what you have learned about decision making at top levels of command and how can this be relevant for the management of business enterprises.
5. Propose a decision-making related discussion question based on your critical assessment of the movie and your knowledge of related decision-making literature.
Note - Allocate enough time for this movie which is 3-hour long. This movie is also available as several 18 ten-minute parts in youtube.
