Your Musical Concert Project will be at least 3 pages, follow MLA formatting (double-spaced, Times New Roman 12pt font, one-inch margins), and include all of the following: 

1.       Introduction, provide the following:

    1. Date, time, place and name of the concert you attended.
    2. What were some of the pieces on the program/played by the musicians? 

2.       Choose one song from the concert and include the following:

    1. Name of song.
    2. Year it was Created.
    3. Composer.

3.       Do some research about your chosen song and composer and clearly identify the following:? 

    1. When did the composer live and what was their style? Explain fully, including relevant background details.
    2. Is this a Western or non-Western composition?
    3. What musical elements are present in the song? Explain fully.
    4. How do these elements of music contribute to the overall mood of the piece?
    5. What else can you find out about the artist who created it, the culture it comes from and/or what was going on in history at the same time?
    6. Be sure to give credit to your sources using MLA style.
