focus your thoughts on your own reactions

After reading Unit VI, focus your thoughts on your own reactions, as well as to those of others on the research examined in Sigelman's article, "Hail to the Redskins? Public reactions to a racially insensitive team name".  Sigelman conducted two surveys, one national and one local, to get the public's reaction to racially insensitive sport team names. His focus was on the NFL team name Washington Redskins, although there are quite a few other team names in recent history that have come under scrutiny for their racial insensitivity. Although the findings from these two surveys indicate that Americans dissociate themselves from offensive racial stereotypes by indicating that they did not support a name change for the Redskins, you, as sport manager working for our hypothetical professional team, will want to do anything possible to not present an image to your public that your team may be racially insensitive.

Therefore, you, our hypothetical sport manager, have been tasked to learn from the decisions...and mistakes that other sports teams have made when their team names have been identified as being racially insensitive. You will want to research two other teams'/organizations' attempts to demonstrate greater cultural sensitivity by changing their team names from their traditional American Indian-related names.

1.  Post your links, as well as the full citation to an article for each one of these two teams/organizations,

2.  Summarize each article, and

3.  Include one "lesson" your own hypothetical team could learn from a decision or mistake each of these other teams made in the postings that you make.

Keep in mind that this should be a 3-4 sentence summary of the article and then another 3-4 sentence summary statement of the "lesson learned" from the article.

Also this is for my sports management class so can it be sports related. Also it for a discussion post can it be a page long.
