Analyze the following scenarios and determine which memory technique(s) you would use to improve your chances of being able to retrieve needed information when necessary. Provide a detailed justification of your selection.

Scenario 1: You need a few things from the grocery store and since your list is not too long you decide that you can remember the items without writing them down. How will you remember to purchase bread, milk, eggs, sugar, bottled water, chocolate, dish soap, cooking oil, potato chips, and dog food?

Scenario 2: You decide that you do not make enough purchases to record them in your checkbook. You believe you can remember and reliably estimate your bank balance when necessary. What technique would you use to keep up with your bank balance?

Scenario 3: What technique will you use to remember the names of the presidents of the United States in the order that they were elected? What technique will you use to remember the names of the planets starting from the nearest to the farthest planet from the sun?
