here is rubric and explanation

Capstone E-Portfolio Essay—First Version

Create a complete first version of your Capstone E-Portfolio Essay. Your 1,250- to 1,750-word framing essay responds to this prompt:As you conclude your undergraduate education, what knowledge and abilities have you developed that you can carry forward? How does your E-Portfolio provide evidence that you have the knowledge and abilities you claim? Your essay’s claims should make specific and substantial reference to your artifacts to speak persuasively about your accomplishments and abilities. You can draw on the IAS learning objectives in this essay, but don’t rely too heavily on these. Your Capstone E-Portfolio Essay is about you, not about IAS. A strong essay will set you apart from others and clearly capture your unique voice, perspective, background, goals and abilities. You are also expected to edit, redraft, and refine throughout the writing process. Frame your work and put it in perspective of audiences you are likely to be telling about your work. Convey your unique abilities and accomplishments to those audiences. How you do this will inform your essay’s style, shape, and rhetoric. Avoid generic and standardized discussions. Distinguish yourself to your readers.

Capstone E-Portfolio Essay Second Version

**This is the version that receives formative feedback

Capstone E-Portfolio Essay Second Version—bring hard copy to class for self-evaluation

Create a complete second version of your Capstone E-Portfolio Essay. This version should demonstrate extensive revision to the first version based on your readings, a possible visit to the Writing and Communication Center, your reflection on feedback from the mini-portfolio essays, and peer feedback. Editing, redrafting, and refining are essential for portfolio work. Remember to move away from the IAS learning goal discussion and move toward a personalized and rhetorical argument based on evidence and targeting an audience. Avoid generic description. Distinguish yourself. The E-Portfolio helps students create an online archive and argument about that archive. So it is important for students to demonstrate online skills of hyperlinks to enable a reader to view the artifacts. Create several hyperlinks (Links to an external site.) (3–6 is usually appropriate) to your artifacts that you have used as evidence.

Capstone E-Portfolio Essay—Third and Final Version

Create a complete third and final version of your Capstone E-Portfolio Essay with more revisions based on more engagement with readings, class, UWB resources, and feedback. Upload your improved essay. In addition to your desire to produce an excellent essay that answers the prompt, you also want to make sure that your writing work demonstrates the requirement of extensive revision. We want to see substantive changes. To make your revision transparent, add a detailed paragraph at the bottom of the essay (which does not count toward the total word count) describing how you revised the second and third version and the resources you used to help make those changes.
