Hello, I'm Simon, a 16 year old working at McDonald's as a part time job. I've started work since 24/12/2013. Recently on the holidays I've worked up and got paid more than $350, and from that moment on I pay $5 tax and I'm with tax free threshold(2). I've handed in my TFN, it's just that once I've earned more than $350 a week, normally I get paid $200 a week, it's not like I earn more than $350 a week, $700 per fortnight, and $1517 per month. I still haven't worked for a year yet and my total savings is around $4000. Isn't it the first $18,200 your tax free? Is there a way to make me stop paying tax or I have to deal with it just becuase of once I earned over $350 a week?
