database WrightBrothers. Save as Lastname_WrightBrothers.

Needing help with this assignment, need to make sure that I did it correctly. I need to make am High A on this to pass my class.
Wright Brothers' Airport Shuttle Service

  1. Read the assignment carefully, beginning on page 191.
  2. Open and save the database WrightBrothers. Save as Lastname_WrightBrothers.
  3. Save the excel file Wright Brothers data. Create the Parking Table and import the data. Create a new field in tblRate called NewRate and make it a number, long integer.
  4. Create your relationships and set referential integrity.
  5. Create a query for the parking form. The query needs to include all the data, plus a calculated field for current charges. That field will look like this: CurrentCharges: (([CheckOutDate]-[CheckInDate]+1)*[Rate]). Thus, if they parked on January 1 and left on January 2, they get charged for 2 days. That's why you add the 1. Create the parking form.
  6. Create a parameter query for the Daily check-in report. Remember, that requires a prompt statement in the criteria line for the Check-In date. On the report, you will need to add a count of parking locations in the detail area and a count of parking locations in the report footer. =Count([parkinglocation]). Create the report.
  7. Create a parameter query for the Tentative Check-Out report. Similar to the one you did above. Create the report.
  8. QueriesCreate a single field query for Average Earnings. The field will be : AverageEarnings: Avg(([CheckOutDate]-[CheckInDate]+1)*[Rate]). Create a single field query for Average Length of stay. The field will be: AverageStayLength: Avg([CheckOutDate]-[CheckInDate]+1).
  9. Create a query that will count the tag numbers according to parking type. Covered or Uncovered. Group By that description.
  10. Create a parameter query to count the number of cars for the given date. Count the tag numbers. Create another query for checked out on the date given.
  11. Create a totals query counting by airline. Use the check-in date of #1/22/2009#. Count the airline description.
  12. The query for percentage of covered and uncovered valet spaces requires 2 queries, one inside the other. The first query will include the Description, Rate code and check in date of 12/31/2008. Use this query to create a new query where you will select Description, Count of Rate code and include the calculated field usage: Usage: [CountOfRateCode]/[Available].
  13. For query 6, view here:  More Calculated Fields
  14. Build a select query by date. Count the customers.
  15. The total earnings is a single field query with the expression: TotalEarnings: Sum(([CheckOut.Date]-[CheckInDate]+1)*[Rate]).
  16. Create a select query totaling the earnings for January only. See Total Earnings expression above. To select only January, use the criteria >#12/31/2008# And <#2/1/2009#. Using this query, create a new select query including the Sum of Total Earnings. You'll get just one output field.
