The purpose of this assignment is to familiarize you with an important dietary assessment tool and to provide you with research quality data on your own eating habits. You will be provided with your own dietary intake assessments to evaluate and discuss in the written assignment. You will get information on: Calories (kcal/d), protein, carbohydrate, fat, sugar (g/d) and selected vitamins and minerals.You will then have 2 weeks to evaluate your eating habits with respect to calories and the nutrients of interest, turning in a written reflection. Please cite where you retrieved the comparative data used to assess your intake.
In your self-assessment of diet quality, we want you to answer these points:
· How do your percent calories from protein, fat, sugar, and carbscompare to the recommended values?
· How does your consumption offiber, vitamins, minerals and electrolytescompare to recommendations?
