First, I will grade the Final by following the rubric.

1.  First, I will grade the Final by following the rubric.  This means that you should also review the rubric and try to organize your paper accordingly.  (The sections are in bold below, under the instructions portion of the assignment guidelines.) A good rule-of-thumb is to use headers to help organize your paper; you may have header's titled "Introduction",  "Major Concepts", "Excluded Concepts", and so on to align with the rubric.

3. Scholarly sources.  You may use your textbook as one of the eight required scholarly sources for this assignment.  You may also use any scholarly articles linked to your weekly readings.  Sources like simplypsychology.com, about.com, and other blogs are not considered scholarly and will not be counted as such.  If you need help determining what constitutes a scholarly source, refer to the Ashford Library and/or the Writing Center.

4. APA. If you are still struggling with APA format, refer to either the Ashford Writing Center, the APA blog site, or the Purdue OWL APA for guidance.  Following APA format is a gradable element and will be evaluated on the final. You may find helpful APA resources by performing a Google search.

5.  I've added a "TRANSLATION" element below to help you get a better understanding of the deliverable for some of the sections. Ashford Course Developers wrote the course curriculum for this class, not me, but I hope my attempt to clarify those instructions is helpful to you.

Here goes. . .

Introduction
Provide a general introduction to the topic of theories of personality. Explain what you plan to cover and describe the direction your paper will take. This section will not feature a heading, and it will be approximately two to three paragraphs.

Major Concepts (What you do like)
In this section, you will present the seven specific concepts identified from the seven models you think best apply to the study of personality in distinct subheadings.  For each concept, identify the major personality model from which the concept was taken as well as the theorist associated with that model.  This completed section will be approximately four to five pages.

TRANSLATION:  Pick one element from each of the seven models covered in the course. For example, social learning by Albert Bandura might be a feature you find particularly sound.  Or, you might consider trait identification to be sound; if so, you would spend some time discussing this element as well. In short, you should identify one feature from each of the seven models that you find most beneficial.

Excluded Concepts (What you don't like)
In this section, present the concepts you have chosen to exclude in your theory of personality development.  Reflect on the basic assumptions that define personality and identify three specific excluded concepts from any of the theories studied in the course.  For each of the excluded concepts, provide a rationale explaining the various aspects of the concept that make it unsuitable for your use.  This section will be approximately one to two pages.

TRANSLATION:  You only to select three excluded concepts here.  If you don't like the oral, anal, phallic, genital developmental aspect of Freud's model and chose not to integrate it into Major Concepts, then discuss why. Remember, only discuss three of the excluded concepts and these concepts can come from any of the theories. Again, this is what you do NOT like about a particular theory, or theories.

The Differences between Healthy and Unhealthy Personalities
Describe the basic differences between healthy and unhealthy personality, based on the concepts that you have chosen to include and exclude from your theory.  This completed section will be approximately one page.

The Roles of Heredity, the Environment, and Epigenetics
Provide your analysis of the roles heredity, the environment, and epigenetics play in the development of personality. Discuss how heredity and the environment might affect personality disorders. This completed section will be approximately one page.

Assessment and Measurement of the Theory
Reflect on the major concepts you have selected for inclusion and provide a brief description about how those concepts are measured and/or assessed. Review the assessment sections of each chapter and discuss those measures you think are most applicable and effective.  This completed section will be approximately one page.

TRANSLATION:  Go back to what you do like, from the Major Concepts section.  Here, you might discuss psychological tests, perhaps personality assessments or even cognitive behavioral therapeutic interventions.
Conclusion
Provide a brief conclusion that summarizes the ideas presented in your integrative theory of personality. This section will not feature a heading and it will be approximately two to four paragraphs. I will do a self reflection at the end Thank you.
